Super F League Affiliates New League in Albuquerque, N.M.

OVERLAND PARK, Kans. (5-06-08) - Super F League, the fastest growing futsal organization in the country, has added a new league.
The Super F League Albuquerque, will begin operations in the Albuquerque area. Mike
Hawkins and Junior Robeiro are directing the league and plan on a summer league starting
in June and another league during the winter months.
Mike and
Junior have many years experience as soccer players and coaches. They are long-time
residents of Albuquerque and have been teaching futsal to area youths for many years.

Hawkins said, “I am excited to be able to bring the game I love to
Albuquerque. I have been working with area youths for 4 years now, helping to develop
their outdoor skills through futsal training. Since introduced to futsal in Brasil, I have
seen the tremendous benefits it offers the outdoor soccer player. Futsal is a key tool to
the outdoor player, building a player’s skill, refining technique, and promoting
creativity.
"The Super F organization has been great! We cannot thank the Super F League staff
enough. The support they have provided will allow us to bring futsal to more kids in the
area. The Albuquerque Super F League is proud to be part of such a great national futsal
league.”
Robeiro was also very excited. “I am honored to be a part of the Super F League.
Growing up in Brasil, I have enjoyed playing futsal all my life. Now I get to share my
passion for this beautiful game with the American youth. In Brasil, futsal is regarded
very highly and is played almost as much as outdoor. We attribute our skill primarily to
playing futsal. Thank you, Super F League for helping us expand futsal in New
Mexico."

they work with the soccer coaches and players of Albuquerque”

Super F League is the largest U.S. Soccer-affiliated futsal league in the United States. Launched in 2004, Super F League offers amateur soccer players an opportunity to play organized futsal in local leagues. It does so by providing hands-on guidance in building new leagues. Super F currently has 14 leagues in cities throughout the U.S.
Sciore added that the Super F League has just received new league applications from Buffalo, N.Y. and Raleigh, N.C. "We have many more leagues in the works. I would expect 15 to 20 new leagues by year's end."For further information, see www.superfleague.com
