(FIFA rules apply if they aren't modified here.)

Field Dimensions: Length-40 yards, width-30 yards. The goal box, 10 feet wide by 6 feet long, is directly in front of the goal. No player may touch the ball within the goal box. However, any player may move through the goal box. If a defender touches the ball while either he/she or the ball are in the goal box, a goal is awarded the offensive team. If an offensive player touches the ball while either he/she or the ball are within the goal box, a goal kick is awarded the defensive team. The goals are 4 feet high by 8 feet wide.

No Offsides in 3-on-3 Soccer.

No Slide Tackling: This does not prevent players from sliding to stop/intercept a ball, but NO CONTACT can be made with the opposing players.

Goal Scoring: A goal may be scored only from a touch within a team's offensive half of the field.

Game Duration: The game will consist of two 12 minute halves separated by a 2 minute halftime period or the first team to score 12 goals, whichever comes first. No timeouts allowed.

Playoff Overtime: Will consist of a sudden death overtime period, maximum length of 3 minutes, with a coin toss to determine kick off/direction. The first team to score in overtime is the winner. If no team has scored in the 3 minute overtime period, the winner shall be decided by a sudden death penalty shootout. Players will rotate with each penalty kick until one team scores unanswered.

Penalty Kick:Will be awarded if, in the referee's opinion, a scoring opportunity was nullified by the infraction. It is a direct kick taken from the middle of the half-way line with all players behind the half-way line. After the kick, the offensive team cannot touch the ball again until the defensive team has touched it.

Five Yard Rule: In a dead ball situation, defending players must stand at least 5 yards away from the ball. If the defensive player's goal area is closer than 5 yards, the ball shall be placed 5 yards from the goal area in line with the place of the penalty.

Kick Ins: The ball will be kicked into play from the sideline instead of thrown in.

Indirect Kicks: All dead ball kicks (kick ins, free kicks, kick offs) are indirect with the exception of corner/penalty kicks.

Goal Kicks: May be taken from any point on the endline or goal area.

Number of Players: Four is the maximum number of players on a team. Only three players on the field at one time.

Goalkeepers: There are no goal keepers.

Substitutions: May occur at any dead ball situation.

Kick Off: May be taken in any direction.

Player Registration: All players must be registered on their team's registration form before the tournament begins. Any substitutions after the team's first game, because of injury or emergency, must be submitted to the tournament officials before the substitute can play. The player who has been substituted can take no further part in the tournament and is not entitled to an award. Tournament officials have the right to demand proof of the reason for the substitution and and will rule accordingly.

Player Ejection: Referees have the right to eject a player from a game for continual disobedience or as a result of an incident that warrants sending off. The team may then continue with their remaining 2 or 3 players. The ejected player will be suspended for the following game.

Situations or occurrences that these rules do not address shall be left to the sole discretion of the tournament officials.
